Oliver has made amazing strides since receiving hippotherapy and other intensive therapies from our foundation since September of 2019. He was diagnosed at one year old with microcephaly, cerebral palsy, and a genetic mutation on the CTNNB1 gene. This mutation is extremely rare and the only treatment for it is therapy. MPFIC stepped in to help his parents afford adequate therapy for this special boy.
Our Executive Director sat down with the Civil Rights Attorneys behind the nonprofit Inclusive Education Project, “IEP,” to discuss Special Education Law & the parallels between what they do for families, work we do for our children, and the importance of advocating for every child, despite their disability, so they don’t fall through the cracks.
We are thrilled to announce that the Maryam Parman Foundation for Injured Children is the recipient of a $10,000 grant from the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation! These funds will support hippotherapy sessions for several of the injured children we are currently helping.
